　　On October 28, the groundbreaking ceremony for the 10,000-ton-per-year cathode material project for sodium-ion batteries, undertaken by ZheJiang VASTSIB Technology Co., Ltd., was held at the Zero-Carbon Industrial Park in Binhai Port. Song Bindong, Director of the Standing Committee of the County People's Congress, attended the event and announced the official start of the project. Zhang Yangguang, Deputy Secretary of the County Party Committee, and Lü Aimin, Chairman of ZheJiang VASTSIB Technology Co., Ltd., delivered speeches respectively. Huang Jun, Deputy County Magistrate and Secretary of the Party Working Committee of the Coastal Industrial Park, presided over the ceremony. Li Xin, General Manager of ZheJiang VASTSIB Technology Co., Ltd., and Kong Hui, Director of the Management Committee of the Binhai Economic Development Zone, Secretary of the Party Working Committee of the Binhai Port Economic Zone, and Director of the Management Committee of the Coastal Industrial Park, also attended the event.

　　In his speech, Zhang Yangguang said that Binhai has consistently taken the “sea” as its core to create growth opportunities, firmly pursuing a path of strengthening itself through maritime development and green transformation. Coastal development is accelerating across the board, and trillion-yuan-level port-based industries—including new energy and equipment manufacturing, new materials, and modern logistics—are continuously clustering in the region. Binhai is innovatively exploring a pathway for building zero-carbon industrial parks characterized by “green electricity + cold energy.” The newly launched VASTSIB project not only aligns closely with the region’s strategic positioning as a leader in new materials but also deeply resonates with the vision of constructing a zero-carbon industrial park. This project will undoubtedly inject powerful momentum and provide strong support for the region’s efforts to build a green and low-carbon industrial cluster. He emphasized that the county Party committee and county government will always uphold the principle of respecting, cherishing, and valuing businesses, focusing on creating a first-class business environment that ensures enterprises feel confident investing, comfortable operating, and secure in their development. He called on relevant departments to foster a strong sense of service and make every effort to guarantee the smooth progress of project construction; urged construction units to adopt scientific construction practices and accelerate the early completion and commissioning of projects; and encouraged project developers to continue deepening cooperation, striving to turn the new project into a model zero-carbon factory and an industry benchmark. The entire county is launching an intensive “100-day assault” campaign, using new achievements in investment attraction and project advancement to drive high-quality economic development in Binhai.
